FAQ

E-design is an online collaboration between me, the designer, and the client to create a beautiful and functional space without the in-home visits and project coordination. You don’t have to live near me to take advantage of e-design; I will take your project information via the online questionnaire, email, and video meetings and create a completely custom design plan for you to execute at your leisure.

E-Design is a great option for anyone who enjoys DIY, likes to be hands-on in the design process, and loves to shop but isn’t sure where to start. E-design is also perfect for someone who wants to build a room over time and make purchases at their leisure; when the budget permits. The e-design client can be assured that the design process is laidback, comfortable, affordable, unintimidating and ready when they are!

All you need is a tape measure to measure your space, a camera or phone to take pictures and access to a computer to take advantage of my e-design services. Through email, my virtual design studio & video chat, I will collaborate with you to create a custom design plan. The final completed design, with all the components, will be sent to you as a PDF to your email. Fast and easy!
So, whether you’re revamping your existing interior or starting with a fresh palette, I can assist you in creating your dream space!

The Process

What you can expect from the e-design process; As the decorator, I will curate selections that create beautiful and functional spaces that enhance the lives of my client and reflect their vision. While you help to complete the design vision by purchasing and putting all the elements into place. E-design allows you to stretch your dollar, as much as possible, putting more funds into décor and giving you the flexibility to build the room over time, making purchases at your leisure.

First, I need to hear from you! Visit my website, and explore it! Select the e-design package that suits your needs, and fill out the online design questionnaire submitting all required information. I will then be in touch via email to book your online consultation and send you the welcome package which includes the scope of work agreement to be returned with a 50% design retainer prior to the consultation.

Required Information in the questionnaire

  • Measurements of your room, fixed elements and window and door placement
  • Any inspiration photos or links to Pinterest or Houzz
  • Photos of your space from every angle
  • Photos and measurements of any pieces of furniture you would like to keep
  • Instructions for measuring and taking photos are available for download in the questionnaire.

This initial meeting is where we will discuss your project in detail, get to know each other, and review the scope of work and your budget. I want to learn as much as I can about you, your family, and the way you use your space so that your design is everything you hoped it would be!

This is where I begin designing your space! During this time, we may have some back-and-forth communication to answer any questions that might come up along the way.
Upon completion of the design development phase, we will schedule an online meeting to review the design together. Having a video meeting allows me to easily explain and show you my thoughts and the process behind my design decisions.
You will then have access to the designs through my Virtual Design Studio, allowing you to review and make comments. At this time, you may request one round of revisions that are included with your package.

Once the revisions have been completed you’ll receive an email that includes your master design plan, as a PDF package, with everything you need to execute your new design.

Now it’s your turn to take over! You will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, and installing all products. Complete your room on your own timeline, purchase products at your own leisure and remember, HAVE FUN!

*One hour of design follow-up is included with your package this can be done via phone, email, or video chat.

This package has everything you need to furnish your space. It’s perfect for a client who is looking to receive a fully complete and executable master design plan. Every detail is accounted for, right down to the selection of accessories. All that is required of you is to place the orders, receive the items and follow the space plan & design notes putting all the pieces into place.

Then sit back & enjoy your new space!

ADD ON; If you’re local to the Waterloo Region and would like to have your first meeting in person, please let me know; this can be arranged for an extra fee of $70. I will take measurements and photos for you.

This package is great for laundry rooms, mudrooms, foyers, powder rooms & front porches. The package has everything you need to furnish your space. It’s perfect for a client who is looking to receive a fully complete and executable master design plan. Every detail is accounted for, right down to the selection of accessories. All that is required of you is to place the orders, receive the items and follow the space plan & design notes putting the items in place.

DIY-Design

investment: $700/room

This is for a client who loves to shop and enjoys a little more DIY when it comes to decorating their home. I’ll provide you with a custom furniture space plan, with recommended sizes and placement, & an inspiration concept board, then you head out to the stores and start shopping/sourcing and installing at your leisure.
